WATCH: History Professor claims Palestinians have benefited from the existence of Israel.

Professor Efraim Karsh, an Israeli–British historian, the founding director and emeritus professor of Middle East and Mediterranean Studies at King's College London discusses why he feels that the Palestinian people benefited from the establishment of the state of Israel even in the occupied territories. He states that (minute 1:12) ‘In ‘67 when Israel came to the territories, the life expectancy was 48, when Israel left in ‘95 it was 76.’ Karsh reasons that for this and many other reasons, such as the modernising of the country, the Palestinian people have benefited hugely from Israel and are living better lifestyles than all other Arabs in other Arab countries.
