WATCH: How to use social media in a healthy way - part 2
Continuing on from the first video in this four-part series on social media, Rabbi Shlomo Farhi first explores the narcissistic nature of social media. After all, as Rabbi Farhi explains, “the image you see of someone online doesn’t properly reflect who they really are” (1:02). Because of this, you should never compare your real life to the fake social media personas of others. In this way, rather than feel envious and jealous of others, a greater feeling of gratefulness should - ideally - begin to emerge. To really make the most of your time on social media, Rabbi Farhi says all of us should be more careful about what we do and think online.
