Speaking in discussion with J-TV founder Ollie Aniself, Rabbi Rietti explains how anger can be overcome. Seeing anger as a defensive response to something going wrong, the Rabbi explains how anger is actually the manifestation of several different causes. Primarily, for him, anger is “a denial that God is in my life” (6:01). In response to Ollie asking if there are any instances in Jewish Law where it is encouraged to be angry, Rabbi Rietti answers unambiguously that anger never, ever works.
